Hi!
Facebook will remain as the number one social media overall. It is
predicted that by the end of 2013, there will be 1.5 billion people
using Facebook.
Twitter
Twitter will remain stable as it is. It will become more of a real time
news platform and will grow by millions at the end of 2013.
YouTube
This would be the future of entertainment. In the next decade, 75
percent of all channels will be born on the Internet. In 2013, channels
will become more and more a part of our user experience every day.
Pinterest
With the growth of Pinterest, it would be the main sales channel for
retailers since 59% of users purchased an item that they saw on the
site. So expect an influx of big companies and marketers populating
Pinterest in 2013.
LinkedIn
Its uniqueness will still be relevant to B2B marketing and job hunting.
It is estimated to double the number of users by the end of 2013. As of
November 2012, LinkedIn has already reached the 183 million mark.
Instagram
In 2013, global mobile marketing is estimated to be worth $24 billion
and 80% of the world population will be using mobile phones. So
Instagram would be the biggest player in Social media this 2013. The
site is turning into a social media channel hence its recent
introduction of web profile, which is similar to Facebook's timeline.
Google+
Google+ still continues to struggle in the realms of social media.
However, with the name Google on it, it is unlikely to move out in the
market. Google+ would be the dark horse of social media this 2013. So
watch out for a big surprise.
As early as now, it’s better to start brainstorming and plotting your
marketing strategy this 2013. Hopefully, this year would be a much
better year for you.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
