We Stayed at theCatalina Beach Club....

                                                 Hi!

It's been years now that we've been hearing about the Catalina Beach Club, a place where much of young Hollywood (Heidi Klum, Tyson Beckford, Alonso Mourning, Orondo Gassden, Tara Reid, P Diddy, Dennis Rodman, Jamie Fox and Jada Pinkeet Smith), has stayed in the alst 10 years or so.  Our recent Mid July escape to South Beach would not have been the same without the Catalina.  The mod red and white interiors and koi fish pond in the lobby were icing on the cake along with an attentive staff and an offering of ammenties and services.*** 

A  6 day and 5 night stay at the height of the summer's 90 degree weather might have been unbearable but the South Beach Group owned Hotel had us living in style. Our junior suite, with a perfect view, was steps away from EVERYTHING--the mezzanine lounge and  hotel bar quickly became our favorite pit stops. The dulcet sounds of  live jazz performers were heaven walking in from a long day out and the suggestion of  a sushi dinner at the Kung Fu Kitchen were ideal.

Hands down the most rerlaxing stay ever and the rooftop pool definitely made it complete.

When it's 'Overseas' it's Serious

                     Hi!

Sometimes it's just not easy when it comes to buckling down and getting some work done, and believe me I have lots to get done.  However, I am just going to throw this out on the table...ever notice that when those living the "it" life want to get away they go far, far away meaning 'overseas' away?  Well that seems to be the age old cure and I am certainly taking note.

The annual White Party*** given by Sean P-Diddy Combs occurring in St. Tropez this year begins today, and the wedding of Pamela Anderson to Kid-Rock just this past weekend also occurred in St. Tropez.  Now I am thinking it is pretty serious when your entire entourage happily loads up to go party hard with you 'overseas'.  I'm not an idiot, I know the lush sandy beaches of St. Tropez are a total playground for the mighty monied.  I say this because there has to be some modicum of mighty money when one parties at one of the infamous VIP Room**** locales as with the aforementioned celeb couple.  However, just what is it about St.Tropez--that beautiful resort area snuggly situated between the Alps and the Mediterranean?

Dunno, cannot quite put my finger on it, but I am envisioning  future overseas summer partying on a yacht where I can run about and really get the sense of the ocean.  Lastly, I 'm envisioning a destination where I can sip champagne and party above deck like it's 1999 ... where I can take a breather and uh... get the contact info of everyone in attendance so that when I decide to get serious again... I won't have to go it alone!

My Virtual CineVegas Accomodations

DAY 2             Hello,

Well I am off to a healthy start as I am into Day 2, and even though this is all virtual*** I am finding that I am still extremely short on time in relaying the goings on.  Not having been to Vegas in several years, navigating my way through all the info is a bit much.  I have been spending time in the Harrah's site checking out photos of Rio, the All Suite Hotel that I had planned on booking for this CineVegas coverage.  I thought I would share it because well, preception is everything, you can be damn sure that had I arrived I would have posted tons of photos of this place.

Why hold back? check out the inside view of the rooms, not bad...Rio was one of the two top choice spots for  attending accredited press...the other was of course the Palms.
