The American Cancer Society's Hamptons Gala Festive in Flip-Flops commenced with a full cocktail party bustling with excitement followed by a semi-formal seated dinner  on Saturday July 21st at Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf.

Cocktail hour gave way to a grand red carpet where Celebs and VIPs entered early on. Those in attendance included: Actress Susan Lucci, Actor Mark Feuerstein, Fashion + Style Expert Stacy London, Football Legend Boomer Esiason,  and Restaurateur B. Smith and husband Dan Gasby, Designer Christopher Fischer and wife Joni, President, Sales, Discovery Networks; Bill Koenigsberg, Founder and CEO of Horizon Media, and wife Jessica and David Levy, President of Turner Broadcasting  wife Nikki.

HAMPTONS WEEKEND REPORT: Hampton Designer Showhouse 2012 Opens!

Now in its 12th year, the Hampton Designer Showhouse, particularly its Opening Gala reception, simply gets better and better each year. From the moments guests stepped onto the lush Watermill property to view the Grand Design Residential Inc. home, interest was peaked.  The 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse was presented by Traditional Home and benefits the Southampton Hospital. 

Honorary Showhouse Chairman Mario Buatta was present as were Mr. Jamie Drake and Ms. Alexa Hampton the Honorary Design Co-chairman. While Traditional Home served as the presenting Sponsor, additional sponsors included: Barlow Tyrie, Circa Lighting, Dacor, Gloster, Hinkley Lighting, Juliska, Karastan,Lillian August, LX.TV Open House NYC, Natural Decorations, Inc., Pearson, Pratt & Lambert Paints, Raymond Vineyards, The Rug Company, Serena & Lily, Schumacher, Stanton and Thibaut.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 The individual rooms of the 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse participants*** was nothing short of stunning. Standout rooms include Patrik Lonn's Study; Katie Leede & Company's upstairs bedroom; and Old Town Crossing's Conservatory which featured an opulent contemporary chandelier by Blackman Studio.

Patrik Lonn, who was busy with each new attendee of his very masculine study, had associate, Melinda Cedel to brief one on the particulars of Lonn's design theme and inspiration. "The room is inspired by Patrik's recent move for his horse, to a new stable. He had the ceiling painted by an artist.  He hand-painted the table tops--it was back-painted through the glass."  The design of the ceiling was said to be inspired by an Hermes scarf that they used and then turned it into an Equestrian design. Large scale Equestrian prints, by Bob Tabor lined one wall and a waist level bookcase filled with fine coffee table books caught the eye. A very strong. Masculine and inviting room it was that still held enough charm an depth to entice a woman to spend time there. 

Old Town Crossing Senior Associate Sean Bruns explained his room in perfect detail, "it's known as the Conservatory it's off the kitchen on the way to the pool,  a place to sit and have your coffee in the morning, a place to sit and watch your host and hostess preparing a meal etc, and be able to still visit with them."  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ater surmising every inch of the beautiful shingle style home, attendees of the opening gala were able to enjoy the cocktail party tht extended beyond the deck and inground pool and onto the rolling estate.  This year's noteworthy attendees included:

(who was not showing at this year's showhouse)  

The 2012 Hampton Designer Showhouse will remain open throughout the summer and is expected to close on Monday,September 3rd, Labor Day.

Are you ready for ArtHamptons 2012? It alkicks off TODAY, Friday, July 13! Art Hamptons has not only become the quintessential Hamptons art/social event of the season, but also blossomed into the nation’s premiere summer fine art fair. In 2011, over 9,500 Hamptonites (a show record) streamed through the aisles to experience the art from 80 respected galleries. International in scope, the fair showcased prominent dealers from 10 countries around the world (UK, Spain, Germany, Canada, Argentina, Mexico, Israel, Greece, Russia, Japan, China and Korea.) As the word spreads around the art world of ArtHamptons sales success, we expect even greater international flavored participation. Ed Moses receives Lifetime Achievement Award.

HAMPTONS WEEKEND REPORT: 13th Annual Love Heals at Luna Farm

Supermodels Hilary Rhoda (Co-Host & Nicole Trunfio VIP Guest) 

The 13th Annual Love Heals welcomed 650 patrons this year to the Sagaponak locale of Luna Farm. The Saturday evening fete benefiting the Alison Gertz Foundation*** was hosted by Supermodel Hilary Rhoda, Designer Charlotte Ronson, and NY Power Couple Andrew Saffir & Daniel Benedict. 

Amenities of the event: spinning by Celeb DJ Kiss, a silent auction, a dedicated Patron Tequila Bar, Nathans hot dog carts,VIP seating alongside the dance floor, delectable dining on DeForest Gibbs Wild World Catering.

The evening was filled with dancing, dining and great conversation. All those who opted for the expanse of the outdoor space as they dined were in for a surprise. Light rain drops turned to a huge downpour leading to everyone taking refuge under the grand tent. This led to more dining and a FULL dance floor by 9:00 pm or so--it was truly memorable night.

Our HIV-positive speakers are putting a face on the epidemic, and our youth empowerment programs are training a new generation of community educators and activists. We do this in partnership with hundreds of schools and community groups throughout New York City and the surrounding areas, reaching both young people and those individuals who impact their lives, and placing a special emphasis on outreach to high-risk communities.

HAMPTONS: Christopher Fischer Hosts Cocktail Kick-Off for American Cancer Society's Festive in Flip Flops

Friends, family and east enders gathered at Christopher Fischer’s*** East Hampton boutique for a pre-event kick-off party in support of the American Cancer Society’s Festive in Flip Flops 2 Summer Bash, on June 30, 2012. The fashion designer, whose wide following includes such varied celebrities as Beyoncé, Alec Baldwin, Emma Watson, Eva Longoria, Jessica Alba, and Katie Couric, gave attendees a special discount on any item from the Christopher Fischer collections purchased during the event, as well as donating 10 percent of the evening's proceeds to theAmerican Cancer Society.

Hosts of the night were Festive in Flip Flops 2 ChairSherri Abruzzese and Benefit Committee Member Christy Birnbaum, and guests included American Cancer Society Chief Operation Officer,Kris Kim, interior designer Larry Laslo, Phillips Van Heusen's President of Licensing Kenneth Wyse, and Horizon’s Bill Koenigsberg.

Throughout the evening guests enjoyed wine by the Grapes of Roth by Roman Roth of Wölffer Estate Vineyards, iced tea provided byMontauk Beverage Works, and cheeses, summer crudités and take-home cookies graciously donated by Carolyn Snyder ofRound Swamp Farm.

The music was played byBlind Prophet, and the furniture exhibit provided by Maximillian Eicke of Sag Harbor.

This past weekend the 19th Annual Hamptons International Film Festival was held in East Hampton from Thursday, October 13 through Monday, October 17, where film goers all got a taste of France as they celebrated film with CIROC Ultra Premium Vodka.

CIROC was the official sponsor and spirit of choice at the festivals screenings, they provided cocktails the entire week with their signature drinks made especially for the festival.

In addition, Ciroc also presented the Conversation With Series, a moderated live conversation with actors and the public. Matthew Broderick, Alec Baldwin, Susan Sarandon, Bob Balaban, and Rufus Wainwright were the actors that participated in the three series event
