FIRST LOOK PHOTOS: Best Dressed at Oscars 2010

                                                         Hey There!

Were we underwhelmed or overwhelmed by this year's fashion at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards ? Many scoffed that the carpet was not as glitzy as years past but how could this be? Metallics were front and center and what wasn't metallic (i.e. Best Actress Winner Sandra Bullock's gold Marchesa stunner or Actress Kate Winslet's silver Yves Saint Laurent) was often a textural pastel by Armani Privé as seen on Actress/Recording Artist Jennifer Lopez (see photo at left) or young Hollywood newcomer Amanda Seyfried.  

The colors of chose for the evening? Blue seems to have been a choice of many including, Best Actress Nominee Gabourey Sidibe, Best Supporting Actress Winner Mo'Nique, and Best Supporting Actress nominee Maggie Gylenhaal in a blur floral print by Dries Van Notten. 

Did designer turned Director Tom Ford dress EVERY man on the red carpet last evening? Not quite, while he did dress himself and superstar Recording Artist Mark Anthony among others. Best Actor Jeff Bridges sported Gucci from head to toe and Presenter Tyler Perrywore Prada.  To follow are select Photos from the red carpet.

Oscar's Best Acceptance Speeches for 2010

                                                           Hi!

What a night! The 82nd Annual Academy Awards have come and gone, but the speeches of many of its BIG winners will live on. The sensational wins of the top two categories for women, both Performance for Best Actress (Sandra Bullock for the Blindside), and the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress (Mo'Nique for Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire) were hardly a surprise, but no less sweeter when their names were called.  Actor Jeff Bridges, who hails from a distinguished acting family as the son of the late Lloyd Bridges took Best Performance for an Actor in a Lead Role for Crazy Heart.  Rounding out the top male awards? Austrian newcomer Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds).  To follow are some the BEST excerpts from the BIG WINNERS.

FIRST LOOK PHOTOS: Sherri Shepherd Greets the 8-Ft. Statues for the Official New York Oscar Night Party

Just a few hours ago, Sherri Shepherd, co-host of the 82nd Academy Awards® Oscar pre-show "Oscar Red Carpet...2010," welcomed two 8-foot  Oscar®  statues at GILT at the New York Palace Hotel .   Brinks armored trucks delivered the two 8-foot  Oscar® statues with no delay. The papparazzi gathered in a swarm to get a shot of both Ms. Shepherd and the precious statues.  Once in place, Stephane Lacroix of GILT restaurant showed Ms. Shepherd sapphire tinted  chocolate truffles created by GILT and inspired by the Oscar nominated film "Precious," in which Ms. Shepherd plays " Cornrows."  Ms. Shepherd was on hand to welcome the 8-foot Oscar® statues as part of the advance preparation from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences official New York Oscar Night celebration®.

TODAY IN LA: Silver Spoon Oscar Suite Retreat BENEFITING RED CROSS HAITIAN Relief Efforts

The Guys Have It for 82nd Oscar(R) Show

Gerard Butler, Bradley Cooper, Tom Ford, Jake Gyllenhaal, Chris Pine, Keanu Reeves, Ryan Reynolds and Sam Worthington will present on the 82nd Academy Awards®, telecast producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman announced today.

Butler, Cooper, Ford, Pine, Reynolds and Worthington will each be making their debut appearance on the Oscar show. This will be Gyllenhaal’s  third appearance and Reeves’s  fifth.

Trio of Hosts Set for “Oscars® Red Carpet…2010”

Jess Cagle, Kathy Ireland and Sherri Shepherd will serve as hosts for the 82nd Academy Awards® pre-show “Oscars Red Carpet… 2010,” telecast producers Adam Shankman and Bill Mechanic announced yesterday. This will be Ireland’s and Shepherd’s first time hosting the Oscar® pre-show and Cagle’s second consecutive year as a host.

Cagle became the managing editor of Entertainment Weekly in 2009. He is the former executive editor of People and previously served as West Coast senior editor for Time.  Over his career, Cagle has interviewed some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities.

Ireland is Chief Designer and CEO of Kathy Ireland Worldwide, which, in concert with its brand partners, designs furniture, home office and entertainment furnishings, bedding, jewelry, apparel, skincare products and more.  Over the years, the model-turned-mogul has become one of the most influential women in home and fashion design with an annual sales reported by Forbes to be $1.4 billion.

Sherri Shepherd, the Emmy® award-winning co-host of ABC’s “The View” is also the star of her own Lifetime original comedy series, “Sherri.” The comedienne-actress-author also appears in the Oscar nominated-film “Precious,” and has a recurring role on the Emmy award-winning sitcom “30 Rock.”

“Oscars Red Carpet… 2010,” executive produced by Jeff Margolis, will air on the ABC Television Network at 5:00 pm, PT, immediately preceding the Oscar telecast.

Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5:00 pm PT/ 8:00 pm ET. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
