The night skies became bright with the annual switching on of the Regent Street Christmas lights on Saturday, November 9, 2013. It was an all-day event which attracted thousands of visitors, beginning with Mr. Peabody and Sherman costume characters welcoming shoppers to Regent Street. From 3.15pm there was a series of fashion shows showcasing the latest Regent Street men’s and womenswear collections. The main stage included live entertainment from international stars such as Leona Lewis, Passenger, Eliza Doolittle, Gabrielle and Emma Bunton and Melanie C.
The lights depict the brand new DreamWorks animated film Mr. Peabody and Sherman, to be released in February 2014, and were switched on by Emmy Award® Winning actor Ty Burrell, Hollywood film director Rob Minkoff and singer Leona Lewis. As part of the Regent Street Christmas Lights celebrations Regent Street organized their biggest show yet.
The line-up also included, Imagination, MKS, Richard & Adam, Only The Young and Jahmene Douglas. The event was hosted by Emma Bunton and her Heart Breakfast co-presenter Jamie Theakston on London’s Heart 106.2.
