Roll out the red carpet, Supermodel Beverly Johnson and The JI Group hosted the first blow-out party of the holiday season,celebrating the launch of The Beverly Johnson Lifestyle Brand and her new e-commerce site www.BeverlyJohnson.com. The date was Monday, December 12, the locale was The Carleton Hotel's Millesime, in New York City and the event was HOT. VIP's included: Photographer Fadil Berisha, Real Housewives of New York's Jill Zarin, Vogue's William Kapfer, Fashion Blogger Tia Walker, Model Camille McDonald of America's Next Top Model Season 2, Model Rosemary Kokhuwilha, and Model/Actress Georgianna Roberston.
We were told that 2012 marks the year of iconic model Beverly Johnson’s self-proclaimed reinvention, and certainly nothing could ring more true. Johnson turned heads on the carpet looking svelte on all black and taking time to pose with VIPs--a combination of new and old friends. Following the initial red-carpet, guest were whisked away to the mezzanine of Millesime and enjoyed cocktails and light conversation. It wasn't long before Ms. Johnson gathered the multitudes to a center stage of the venue for a Johnson Family Hair Fashion Show, where models strutted current hair pieces courtesy of Ms. Johnson's multi-cultural hair line-- modern and sophisticated was the vibe. A night to remember for the many female fans and supporters who arrived to partake in this bit of history.
What's next for Beverly Johnson? The modelpreneur is set to close out 2011 will the launch of her new ecommerce site, featuring a host of multi-cultural haircare, skincare and bath & body products. The Beverly Johnson Haircare Products will launch in Target at February alongside a collection of Beverly Johnson Hair Extensions.
In February, Beverly's Full House her docuseries on OWN will debut, followed by a role in Tyler Perry’s highly-anticipated film Good Deeds.
