Model Casting Call: Walk for Esther Nash at Brooklyn Fashion Weekend

Hi!

We are happy to report that the very talented, ubiquitous red carpet walker Esther Nash*** is back to doing what she does best...designing. Yes, the perpetually exuberant young designer, who hasn't showed for several seasons now, will be debuting her LATEST at the upcoming Brooklyn Fashion Weekend  (April 10-12). 

Fitting & Casting Location

If you are a model and looking for your BIG BREAK now's your chance! Ms. Nash will be holding a casting call for models THIS WEEKEND, Saturday April 4th at 237 Lafayette Street, Inventory Boutique, 5:00 pm- 8:30 pm

NOTE: Participation in this show will also give you consideration for future Esther Nash shows.  Also Esther will be rewarding one model (of her choice) with a photo shoot this spring-modeling her clothing line.

IMPORTANT: To attend this call you must be FEMALE, at least 5"9, and in "runway" form.  Models should bring a comp card/photo to leave with contact info. Bring heels and be prepared to walk if asked. Pictures and agency credit only, NO PAY.

IMG Models to be Featured in 2009 Sports Illustrated Issue

Have you heard?  IMG Models, a division of global sports and entertainment company IMG today announced that six models from the renowned agency are featured in the current Swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated*** (on newsstands today).  IMG will lead the roster of beauties with six girls included in the book,  more than any other agency and a record for IMG Models.

FIRST LOOK PHOTOS: Simon Duncan 2009 Press Preview + Photo Shoot

What a day...for the press that is! Thursday's preview of the Simon Duncan Spring 2009 Collection and Photo Shoot was an EXCLUSIVE for New York's fashion literati. The Meat Packing District's Milk Studios was RED HOT.  Never mind Power Moves Inc.'s elaborate spread of scrumptious sushi and luxe Ciroc vodka; this day was all about the colorful glam ready-to-wear and evening pieces that ranged from a black po de soir off the shoulder dress to a fuchsia silk shatung swing dress with pull wired ruffle neck.  Yes, yes, menswear was on hand too!  Best of all, these and other valuables were modeled live, and shots were captured for Simon Duncan's upcoming Spring 09 look book.  MODELS, MODELS, MODELS were posing pretty for the cameras.  Also in attendance outside of broadcast Station NY 1 was TV personality Stacie J. and 5 month old baby Rylie.  Post Scriptum Save the Date for The Simon Duncan Runway Presentation benefiting Praxis Housing Initiative on Tuesday, October 28th at the Prince George Ballroom.

FIRST LOOK PHOTOS: Zang Toi Spring 2009

The afternoon Thursday September 11th was pure finery was had by all at Designer Zang Toi's Spring 2009 show to benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The show which took place at restaurant Daniel meant an backstage set up in the private dining room of the venue.  A quiet (yet busy) preparation was going on as his "star" models got ready: Click Model Dani Evans who has walked for Zang Toi for at least 3 seasons straight, IMG Model Ling, and celeb walkers Actor Ethan Peck grandson to Gregory Peck , Chudney Ross youngest daughter of Diana Ross and NYCTV's Eat Out New York/Secrets of New York Host Kelly Choi. The cocktails reception  at the front of house included: Supermodel Beverly Johnson, Miss USA 2007 Crystle Stewart, Miss Teen USA 2007 etc.To follow are precious photos from backstage and then the marvelous transformations shots of the same models on the runway.
