Catwalk/Sidewalk an exhibition of Fashion Photgraphers held a semi-private reception on Tuesday evening at the Flatiron District's Wix Lounge. The photographers Galo Delgado and Liam Alexander, friends and collaborators for over 10 years proudly presented two distinct visions of fashion in New York City. Attendees were able to ab entire evening of viewing--black and white and color photographs each with their own sense of personal hisory and truth. Juxtaposing the runways of New York Fashion Week with
the streets, these photographers have created a compelling series of
work that encompasses NewYork fashion from the carwalk to the sidewalk.
Photographer Liam Alexander (see photo above) displays raw and edgy scenes of models backstage in repose or on the runway in an elegant gowns are particularly masterful works.
Photographer Galo Delgado's real life street style photos*** are commentary on contemporary fashion and overall style. The streets or rathe sidewalk of New York a prominent view with each click of the shutter and adjustment of the lens. His subjects appear honest and vulnerable with a chic and unique twist with each model.
