The Dream
XALF Co-creator Xavier Mah, shares how his dream venture came to life. “I had the privilege of spending some time in New York last year and was greatly influenced by the sleek metropolitan vibes and the bohemian touch that applies traditional craftsmanship,” he explains, “The emergence of Sarah Jessica Parker and Sex and the City ladies made it even more glamorous, attributing to our insanity.”
The Construction
XALF co-creator Alfred Hor, expresses his take on the thought process that went into crafting each unique made-to-order peep-toe, strappy heel and sky-high platforms. The first-of-its-kind heels are also interchangeable and one can determine the accessories to be placed on the heel counters. The interesting aspect of home-grown label XALF Design comes courtesy of a virtual boutique that offers customisation options catering to every whim and fancy. Classic looks are recreated with a modern touch, and they individually exude an appreciation for heritage and attention to detail.

***To celebrate its launch, a sophisticated soiree heralded the label’s debut. Held at the jazz-infused setting of Bentley Gallery, Pavilion KL. A welcome address by Aliza Kim began the evening with guests ushered into the showroom where both founders shared some insights into their collaboration.
