Kinara Founder & Skin Care Expert, Olga Lorencin-Northrup is the go-to among A-list celebrities including Halle Berry, Eva Mendez, Emma Stone, Hillary Swank and Jessica Alba (to name a few). So with Sundance upon us and the changing winter weather, here are Olga’s Skin Savior recommendations for Sundance goers and the ultimate at-home winter weather repair!
“In cold weather, it is imperative to have a good barrier to protect your skin from the elements. In temperatures below freezing, it is important to use products that do not freeze (moisturizers always contain water and therefore they will freeze on your skin). I highly recommend Kinara's Reparative Nutrient Serum as it is healing and doesn't contain any water.”
2. What are your Sundance skin care prep recommendations?
"As always, we all need to start with a clean canvas. However before going into cold weather, I do not recommend really deep peels and exfoliants. At Kinara we prep our client's skin with our Thirsty Skin Quencher.”
3. What tips do you suggest to achieve glowing, moisturized skin in the arid, cold weather?
"While in cold weather use exclusively, hydrating cleansers. · Double moisturize at night with products like Kinara's intense moisturizer, a few drops of our Reparative Nutrient Serum · Apply extra antioxidant protection, such as weightless infusion nightly. · Make sure to apply a liberal dose of Reparative Nutrient Serum underneath your sunblock while you’re skiing”
4. What are your post Sundance skin recommendations?
"Once you're back in the comfort of your home, even your best efforts to keep your skin in great shape might leave you still a little bit dry. Your pores might also be clogged from the continuous but necessary use of sunblock. To help with this, I recommend undergoing a deep cleansing facial. At Kinara our clients are partial to the Red Carpet Mega-Moisture, as this is one of the most effective treatments for post-cold weather repair."
