Puerto Rican Boxer Hector Macho Camacho was taken off life support today following several days of hospitalization due to a gunshot to the head outside of a nightclub in Puerto Rico on Tuesday, November 20th. A native of Puerto Rico but a lifetime New Yorker Camacho, in the ring, faced legends such as Ray Mancini and Oscar De a Hoya. He succeeded at what Mayweather, Benitez, Duran, Hearns, Hagler, Lalonde, Norris and many other boxers could not do - knock out Sugar Ray Leonard. Sadly, Camacho's personal troubles plagued him in later years.
Camacho is survived by 4 sons. Click here for the full story.
