Fashion After Bark, a doggie-focused pet apparel fashion show, taking place at FIT's Katie Murphy Amphitheater in New York City last night, proved to be an incredibly lively evening for friends, supporters, dog lovers, and a few local celebs*** alike. The evening introduced FIT Assistant Professor of Advertising and Marketing Communications, Linda Finnerty, to the attending audience, whose tireless efforts along with those of her students made the evening a special one.
So who were the designers of the FAB doggie creations? The third annual showing welcomed the designs of Keith Sanna, Wanda Jaller, Jessica Linder, Dawn Deisler, Abby Kass, Lindsey McGraw, Lauren Kmiotek, Irene Liu, Susan Linton, and Lisa M. Barnes. In conjunction with Posh Pets Rescue, Fashion After Bark offered 2 puppies, who actually served as runway models during the evening, up for adoption.
Highlights included: Segment 1, doggie day wear, everything from raincoats to wool sweaters; Segment 2 doggie evening wear featuring lace ensembles and lots of sleek black looks; a raffle for various prizes including gift certificates, prize packages and one-of-a-kind experiences from sponsors: Alexa Winner, Alpha Asia Fusion, Cutler Salon, Dog Chewz NYC, DJ Lenny Emery, NYC Opera, Rachael Lyndsey Rubin, TheSaly paw, Visine, Zum Body, and 151 Studios.
***-celebs in attendance were the renown Fern Mallis, Model Allie Rizzo, Celebrity Stylist Alexa Winner, Celebrity Stylist Lauren Rae Levy, Actor Eric West, Cherished Feet Founder Karen Koeningsberg and others
