C.Marchuska's eco-friendly Fall/Winter 2010 collection offers quite a departure from seasons past. Sophisticated --Sustainable -- Chic. Gone are the relaxed casual Ready to Wear pieces, often a selling point for green lines, and in their place are new "key" pieces exemplified by sleek modernity. "This season's inspiration was was more East Coast-Eco Chic, but more of a rocker eco chic. A lot of the green lines still focus on the West Coast vibe, and we wanted more of an East Coast sophistication and still hold onto the classic sustainability that we always focus on, "shared CEO & Creative Director Christine Marchuska.
So just what are the new "key" pieces? Standouts include a belted 3/4 length coat (entitled the Caroline coat), and a racy fringed wrap skirt (entitled the Wendy wrap skirt). Other standouts include sexy skirt leggings, and an updated version of C.Marchuska's classic Sylvia dress. Wovens, organic cotton wovens, hemp silk, soy jersey are all new, and actually allow C.Marchuska to move away from jersey and incorporate wovens. A slightly enhance color palette also is worth the mention with golds, greens, and violets taking center stage.
Sharp, wearable, and sexy define C.Marchuska Fall/Winer 2010. The Sophisticated clothing with green benefits are a perfect match for the socially conscious woman that doesn't wish to sacrIfice style, price, or comfort to help save the planet--BRAVO!
