Hi!
The invitation sent by New York Socialite Emma Snowdon-Jones read: Please join Gabriel Byrne, Terry George, Allan Cumming, Nigel Barker, Emma Snowdon-Jones, Scott Buccheit, Jeffrey Jah, Anne Vincent, Phillip Bloch, Bettina Prentice, Amy Sacco, Pamella Roland, Ranjana Khan, Gillian Hearst, Scott Sartiano, Richie Akiva, Ronnie, Madra, Danielle Thur, Thom Felicia, Mick Rock and many more for the Rebuild Haiti Fundraiser benefiting EDEYO and Concern Worldwide. Arrival to the cozy hispter hangout of 1 OAK proved to bear more supporters of this cause than its organizers may have realized. Donations of both cash and credit passed through the hands of hundreds of Manhattanites and non-Manhattanites alike. Each 40 dollar donation gave entry to an evening bearing silent auction with unique and highly coveted items. Skky Vodka and Moet Champagne flowed as we spoke with renown fashion photographer Nigel Barker, spokesperson for the Edeyo Foundation who shared the following: "as the spokesperson for Edeyo, when we heard what was happening, we thought immediately what are we going to do? There was a need help immediately. The school that had been re-built over the last 3 years had been demolished. A hundred of the children are still missing, 8 of the teachers are missing, these are people I've met and children I've talked to, photographed and filmed...I have a very powerful connection to this...so we've really rushed to get this together as fast as we could. Already tonight we've raised over $30,000 dollars and its only just begun."
To follow are precious photos from the evening's powerful festivities.
