Hi!
There's never a dull moment when KiptonArt throws a cocktail party. What better way to celebrate a talented band of emerging artists than with a luxuriously crafted awards ceremony at Saks Fifth Avenue. Last evening, Kipton Cronkite hosted KiptonArt's 2010 Rising Star Awards where 5 lucky award winners were announced. The evening sponsored by Longchamp, the New York Observer, and Saks offered a viewing of the KiptonArt 2010 Finalists** works as well a special live performance by Orba Squara.
Finalists' works were placed in perfect juxtaposition to the latest women's fashion with Mr. Cronkite's video crew shooting in or around all aspects of the cavernous second floor atrium. Over canapes and white wine, attendees made their bids as to whom they perceived the finalists would be. Standouts included a color photograph by Kiritin Beyer's Are You Sure You Want a Picture of Us We Are Not Top Models*** and Sarah Dueth's The Concert.****
KiptonArt Rising 2010 Award Winners included: Emily Korman, Julie Combal, Matthew Satz, Avery McCarthy, and Bon Duke. Notable attendees included: Crown Princess Katherine and Prince Alexander of Serbia, Peter Davis, Genevieve Bahrenburg, Gillian Hearst-Simonds, Christian Simonds, Dabney Mercer, Catherine Forbes, Emma Snowdon-Jones, and several others--each clad in diamonds by Asprey.
