Hi,
In the final minutes, of a decidedly SWEET 16 for Paper Magazine's Mr. Mickey aka Mickey Boardman, we found a charming little soiree was STILL going strong. The Soho location of LeSportSac was the locale for what was not a birthday party --although it easily could have been --but a celebratory for 16 years of SUCCESS at Paper. Upon our arrival Mr. Mickey (see photo below) was front in center, happily attending to his guests. Tall, young model boys walked the floors with colorful cocktails and super mini-chocolate cupcakes with little dollops of peanut butter. See through containers of candy and gum lined one of the counters--YUMMY! Balloons floated high in the rear of store all leading the way to the fabulous Lady Bunny who was spinning happily in the far back reaches of the space.
Yes, yes--we saw VIPs... apparently a few still remained, many had made it there in the hour or so before us. VIP guests included: Kim Hastreiter (of course), Kate Schelter, Lady Fag, Fonzworth Bentley, Emil Wilbekin, and several others. It was a super SWEET time.
Thanks for having us Mr. Mickey and here's wishing you 16 MORE.....
