Hi!
Looking for the low down, the how to, the real deal on New York City's Fashion Industry and what it takes to make it all happen for a designer and his or her label? Longing to see it in an exciting episodic drama with all the SIZZLE that's been missing from your current hum-drum life? Well look no further it's ALL on its way! How are the lives of Hailee, Abigael, Raquel, Phillip and Jonathan, and others in the upcoming series set to fair against the rigorous fashion town that is New York City? Oh don't we want to know! Here's a hint--keep your eyes on Hailee, and take it all in through her eyes.
The Green Room is a hip multi-designer showroom situated in the heart of New York City's famed Fashion District, it is also the real life locale of the soon to be hit show! Owned and operated by Showroom Director Amanda Parenti who currently reps designers such as 213 Industry, DRU New York, Gilber Gilmore Classic, Yana K, House of Spy, Keith by Keith Lissner, Lissner, Nary Manivong, San and Soni, etc. The showroom is the catalyst for the hot new TV Pilot currently being taped and marketed to cable. We recently spoke with the man behind the project, Amanda Parenti's husband, Vince Parenti of Reverie Pictures LLC to learn a bit more about the "cast of characters," and the Green Room project in general.
When is the TV pilot expected to air? When we came up with the idea to make this pilot we decided for promotional purposes it would be best to submit it to NY TV Pilot Festival, and hoped it would screen there in
September. As we went through pre-production, and then began
production, we've received such a great response to the script, a few
of the clips, and even the production stills! So much so, we've
created a fan base on our Facebook page that's approaching 300 strong
in less than a month!! So to get back to your question...we will have
a special screening for our cast, and crew (as any normal production
would), but because of the attention we're receiving we're considering
using that opportunity to invite a select group of people who can help
us find a home for this project.
What is the progression--you're filming, then editing, then? The progression is...get it shot, edit it, and submit it to festivals that specialize in TV while growing the fan base and shopping it around to the networks for consideration to air on their station.
Any celebs attached to the pilot? We do have a few actors in the project that have done some recognizable work. Most notably is Josh Casaubon, who played Hugh Hughes (One Life to Live), up and coming actor Nicoye Banks, who recently worked with Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear, as well as rap artist Sharrief Bouhet aka Rawyal.
If all goes as planned what cable station will the pilot air on? I would love for it to run on a major network--ABC, CBS, or NBC. I
would be truly happy to know that there are people out there who can
tune in and enjoy it no matter what network it airs on. Because one of
the unique things we are doing with this show, providing we are
fortunate enough to make more episodes, we are incorporating a little
tidbit of the history of fashion into every episode! Not only do you
get to watch the characters go through their normal serving of drama,
but you also learn something about why people wear what they've worn
throughout the ages!
