Hi!
88 degrees was the forecast high on Sunday April 26th but no one had ANY IDEA it would actually reach that! Good thing that plans had already been made to ENJOY New York City's random PERFECT weather in style. Brunch at Hudson Terrace was on the lips of most hipsters and the rooftop locale was IDEAL for dining, sunning, schmoozing and relaxing. Our invite came by way of longtime purveyor of fine nightlife events, host Michael Gogel (first from left), to visit the Hudson Terrace roof top for brunc--we were ecstatic.
Upon arrival the set up smacked of EXCLUSIVITY with dining tables and banquettes both available as options for dining. Owner Michael Sinensky pulled out all the stops offering a gourmet spread of edibles*** prepared personally by the Chef of Gramercy Park lounge Sidebar. MOST enticing,The pitchers of Red (Raspberry/Pomengrnate) and White (Mango Peach) Sangria which everyone agreed were to die for...we are not kidding, who need beer and champagne with PITCHERS around?
We were even MORE impressed by the crowd itself--chocked full of familiar nightlife industry faces including Peggy Millard and Thierry Pomies, Pavan Pardasani, and an incredible DJ. Guests were young, beautiful, and ready to party. While early on we enjoyed bottle service with our favorite New York "socials'' (courtesy of PR wonder girl Ariel Moses (above second from left) at about 3:15 pm the hipster crowds known for late night downtown "getting down" began to arrive. While there were still a few bottle service banquettes available, or should we say PITCHER service banquettes for those who made reservations many stood carousing at the bar. As the day progressed, the DJ, whose name we have yet to get, got more and more funky serving up house music reminiscent of a Miami Beach party. On such an amazing afternoon it became increasingly harder to break away, but we had other plans for the evening. Those who were able to commit to the afternoon soiree stayed and partied to the events end. Partying for some meant being spritzed by friends by one of the many table side water bottles, or better yet getting the ROYAL treatment--being sprayed with blasts of newly opened bottles of champagne--WOO HOO!
Looking for a little fun in the sun with great food, great drinks and beautiful people? Head over to Hudson Terrace now and every Sunday through the summer from 2:00 pm- 8:00 pm. The party offers a SPECTACULAR $35.00 pp brunch and finely crafted bottle service menu**** options in addition to the pitchers.
Cheers!
***-edibles included: freshly prepared omlettes, french toast, bacon, sausage, oven roasted potatoes, smoked salmon, bagels, sliced bread, etc.
