Hi,
Always a fan of the "perfect union", it was our pleasure to head down to the Scottparks Organization's first ever Urban Zen evening of cocktails. On Tuesday, March 24th over complimentary glasses of champagne at The Eldridge, attendees enjoyed good conversation and good company in support of the Urban Zen Foundation. Donations were made by the majority of the attendees, and the opportunity to learn more about Urban Zen was afforded via speaking with Joanne Heyman, Rachel Goldstein, Yonghee Joe and Shawn Kirschner.
We spoke with ScottParks Organization head Justin "Scott" Parks to gain a bit more insight into his commitment to charitable causes such as Urban Zen Foundation, as well as possible future events for Urban Zen. So how did Mr. Parks' involvement come about? "A very good friend of mine who works for Urban Zen brought me in last year to help with their real estate needs, and I have helped them acquire donated space for their workshops among other projects. It is exciting to be involved wit helping Urban Zen, and its mission to integrate Eastern philosophy into our Western culture and practices."
When asked if we could expect future Urban Zen events from ScottParks Organization he shared, "this event was kick-off to a series of Urban Zen fundraising events that will take places every month at different venues throughout NYC and the Hamptons. The driving force of these events is to raise funds for the charity while sustaining a network of social New Yorkers that prefer to have a good time while supporting Urban Zen's initiative."
Remember you heard it here first, looks like the months ahead are going to be a treat-- ones that will assist in raising awareness and inspiring change, looking forward.....
