Hi!
The recent birthday bash of The Real Housewives of New York City star Alex McCord was such a private event that we weren't even sure we had the right place. Nestled in the back room of the Clover Club in the posh Cobble Hill section of Brooklyn, only one thing stood between us and this soiree...a large velvet curtain! Behind it was a barely lit room with a beautiful classic bar from which champagne flowed like water. There were several revelers noshing on rounds of mini pigs in blankets, filet mignon on toast rounds, and fresh guacamole and chips, and OF COURSE, our birthday girl Alex McCord mixing inconspicuously into a close knit group of guests.
It wasn't long before we noticed: hubby Simon (fresh from filming and handling numerous contractors), fellow cast member Jill Zarin, and her husband Fabric King Bobby Zarin, friends Randi and Murray Alexander, as well as Adele Berne, co-owner of Cobble Hill boutique Epaulet. While we didn't see all of Alex's birthday gifts, we did stick around for the presentation of the special Burberry winter ensemble given by Jill Zarin. Alex looked smashing, and she remains a consummate professional amidst all of the pressure of appearances and social engagements. How does she keep it all together? ... By sneaking away with friends for un-filmed special moments like this one!
Happy Birthday Alex!
