Hi!
When a designer gets Hollywood buzz--REAL Hollywood buzz, what else is there, but to sit back and enjoy the ride. Unless you are New York based designer Donna Ricco , in which case you don't just sit back and enjoy the ride you, you jump on at full force and hope not to miss a thing. Her current collections, both Donna Ricco Collection and Donna Ricco New York, are the toast of the town, and are appearing on more familiar faces (think Chelsea Handler, Vanna White) than one could imagine. How'd she do it? What's her secret? Straight from her private itinerary, yes, we've become privy to it, we see just what the life of the ever popular designer is like. This is it, Donna Ricco goes Hollywood!
Here's the Deal
Donna arrived in LA late on a Wednesday night in April, she then checked into a swanky suite at the Sunset Hotel. After a jog in Runyon Canyon Donna made her way over to the TV Guide Network where she taped a segment on Spring and Summer Fashion for the "Fashion Team". Following the taping she met with a few stylists and did some inspiration shopping on Melrose and 3rd streets. Next it was off to lunch at the Ivy with OK Magazine's Society Editor Jen Birn. Following lunch she had a trunk show, we're talking the trunk of the car. Then it was onto E! where she met the wardrobe departments of E! News Daily & the Daily 10 with great success! After meeting with E! it was time to meet with Extra's Danya Devon and to pick out a few styles to wear on air and at events. In the late afternoon she had coffee with Roberta Wagner formerly of Bloomingdale's who is responsible for Vanna White's wardrobe on Wheel of Fortune among other things. Donna dressed Vanna White for an entire week in April (see photo at left) and will do so again come fall.
A catnap and a quick shower, and it was time for dinner at the Chateau Marmont. The last stop for our celeb designer was a visit paid to funny girl Chelsea Handler, where she dropped off a few styles to Ms. Handler, who we hear is a HUGE fan.
Before she knew it Donna was back in New York and the whirlwind was over. Exhausting? We'd say! Successful? We'd concur. Easy to duplicate? No way... nobody does Hollywood like Donna Ricco!
