Hey There,
Far be it for The Quest for "it" to become...well, politically involved in anything. The focus on art, fashion, and media in 5 different markets is quite enough ... one would think, or is it?
Until a recent invite popped up via email, on an event entitled Hollywood Hamptons Brunch, the Hamptons had just been a country retreat enjoyed by well-heeled, celeb Manhattan dwellers.
A suburban playground for the young and social, OK even the old and social, n'cest pas? Who knew that politics would ever come into play? Well looks like they have, as The Quest for "it" is set to attend The 2007 Creative Coalition Hollywood in the Hamptons Brunch & Dialogue Event this coming Sunday, July 29th ... things are about to get very political.
The event is to be hosted by actress Kerry Washington, moderated by political pundit Lawrence O'Donnell Jr., and will be held at the estate of Jaci and Morris L. Reid. Unsure if this invite was truly for The Quest for "it", we delved deep into the true purpose of the event, and found for sure that this is a winner. Apparently, the Creative Coalition founded by actors Alec Baldwin, Ron Silver, Christopher Reeve, Susan Sarandon, Blair Brown, Stephen Collins, and the brightest minds in politics are coming together for what will be a rare and lively discussion on the impact of pop culture in the 2008 presidential race. Pop Culture? Lively discussions? sounds GOOD, and as this is a brunch--a bite to eat?... We are so there!
Here's hoping you will find the aforementioned to be as intriguing as we did, and will join in this powerful dialogue...remember Pop Culture + Politics= Hollywood in the Hamptons!
;)
