Hello!
What has been going on since I last posted? ... lots, I try not to hold back I mean, I make attempts at staying connected and alerting the masses about various projects, but once again I have kept a lil secret. This weekend I completed a film under the direction of video blogger Najwa Moses of Styleaholics.com entitled 'A Night Out in NYC Drag Queen Style.' While the model/TV projects outside of this here blog keep me tied up, I've found it essential to have the help of a team...I'll call it my pre-cursor to a paid staff cause after all, I do not have paid STAFF money at least not full-time paid staff...DUH! However, I am willing to share just what it takes to fit the bill on the way to the A-List -- at least this is what I've found to be essential so far.
My A Team
The Celebrity Hairstylist: I first began working with Erica Elmore for The Quest for "it" 1 Year Anniversary party just a month or so ago, and my hair has been looking good ever since. Erica simply emailed me out of the blue, and indicated that she could help me look my best. She appeared on the red-carpet with me when I attended the SV Silk Party during Fashion Week as well. Erica does the hair of R& B songstress whose name escapes me, but as the I get the 411 I'll post it. Funny, I could have used Erica when I did my filming this weekend...yes, I so need the bankroll for a paid staff for sure!
The Designer: Lois Eastlund is a godsend, and incidentally I am now her in-house model so to speak. I wear many of Lois' dresses and skirts out to HOT happening events as well for photo shoots. The East Village designer makes the best mini-skirts and 60's inspired prints around. I wore a black and white 60's look for the filming this weekend and I was looking HOT! Lois is making some new pieces as I speak so look for me to model a few new dressses shortly.
The Videographer: Well in this case I have (2) -- they switch off, one guy George Robert Morse, one girl Katie Warsak both NYU Tisch students who do phenomenal work. Although right now they both have very hectic schedules they are always willing to shoot me at weird times like at night when most college students like to do their own thing. I am feeling that my videographers are destined to be super successful shortly.
The Nutritionist: OK, so here we go. I recently had to get back to the smaller side of a size 6 for Fashion Week and at 5"11 1/2 that "ain't easy." Luckily I met nutritional consultant Nic B (Major Models, New York /Next, Miami) at Nole Marin's recently. Nic B and I have partnered, and he is my official nutritionist assisting in shedding my final 10 1bs. over the next few weeks. Nic B will appear in tonight's episode of MTV's Made alongside Nole Marin as they make over a student who is dying to be a male model.
So this is my pre-cursor to a full-time paid staff; I still have slots open for a stylist.*** As always, the open slot for a publicist is ongoing as I do fairly well with getting myself out there and into events on my own ... I'm a bit overly selective with this slot. Hit me up -- I'd like to make you part of my A-Team ... the quest continues.....
***- stylist...seems like they're everywhere; there are several really good ones to choose from in NYC. Perhaps once I get more clothing to wear I'll really need someone to style for me, not sure I need one now though.
