The best in TV are all gathered for the 66th Annual Primetime Emmys, and we’ve got your inside scoop on how to create Sofia Vergara’s red hot look, starting with the step-by-step hair tutorial for her shiny straight style followed by the breakdown to achieve her easy, breezy, beautiful makeup.
Celebrity hairstylist Peter Butler created the look for Claire Danes for tonight’s Emmys Awards using Leonor Greyl products.
“Claire is wearing a red, Givenchy dress tonight that it a bit low in the front with crystal dragonfly jewels around the neckline. It is such a focal point that we wanted the hair up, and since there is something romantic about the dress , I wanted to do a braid. We did a soft, low side-part, with her hair away from the face and left pieces framing her face and covering her ears.
Katy Perry's VMA look tonight was quintessential Katy. Bright red lips, black liquid liner and big lashes. I first prepped her skin and then matched her skin tone to COVERGIRL’s Ready, Set Gorgeous Foundation in Warm Beige and began by buffing a thin layer all over her face and neck using a flat tipped, soft bristled kabuki style brush for a seamless airbrushed effect. I highlighted her under eye area and cheekbones with Ready, Set, Gorgeous Concealer in light/medium.
Were you watching last night as much of the music industry and beyond stepped out for the 2014 VMAs? It w as a good night for FUN fashion. Celebs ranged from decked out glitz--think Beyonce (Nicolas Jebran), J-LO (Charbel Zoe), Iggy Azaela (Versace), to subtly sedate pants as in Solange Knowles (H&M , Miley Cyrus (Alexandre Vauthiere),Gwen Stefani (L.A.M.B.) . Here's a real highlight, TV Personality Kim Kardashian rocked a red, black and white beaded Balmainthat received mixed reviews, some citing low cut and super short all at once being a bit much. We loved the Balmain, though on a 5'9 or taller frame it may have made more of a SPLASH. To follow are the best of last night's red carpet looks.
